Door Games: Another World Behind the Menu

Door games ran as separate programs connected to the BBS software. A user could select a menu option and temporarily enter a new program while remaining on the call.

Popular games included Legend of the Red Dragon (LORD), a text-based fantasy RPG, and TradeWars 2002, a trading and space-combat game. Other doors included trivia, casino games and strategy games.

Many games limited daily turns, encouraging players to return regularly. The games on this website are modern browser-based homages rather than original DOS door binaries.
